Based on new guidelines released by the Illinois Department of Public Health regarding spectator gatherings, the Arcola School District will be implementing the following procedures for all IESA/IHSA Home Events moving forward.

Varsity Football Contests

These general guidelines apply for all spectators attending the outdoor event:

  • All spectators must be symptom free from covid-like symptoms
  • There will be no admission fee
  • MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES
  • All spectators that sit in the stands will be required to sit in pairs (from the same household) and will be required to sit 6 feet from the next pair of spectators.
  • There are 6 feet sections that outline all the fences on the football field and in the end zones.  Up to 4 individuals from each household/family may stand in these 6 foot sections.  All sections are separated by 6 feet.
  • No students younger than high school will be allowed to enter unless accompanied and then supervised by a parent/guardian.  All children under the age of high school must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.

  • Visiting team fans will be allowed to sit in the visiting bleachers (in pairs and 6 feet apart) and will stand along the fence in front of the bleachers going south towards Route 133.  This section will be roped off.
  • All visiting fans must park in the roped off grass area at the southeast corner of Route 133 and Arcola Avenue.  Parking will also be available along Arcola Avenue.
