The Arcola School District is seeking candidates for an assistant principal position for Arcola Junior-Senior High School (Grades 7-12) for the 2021-2022 school year. Current assistant principal/athletic director, Nick Lindsey, has been promoted to the high school principal role. Mr. Lindsey will continue to be the district athletic director with support from a full-time administrative assistant.
As a result, the new assistant principal position will be focused on the tasks outlined in the job description below. This person will oversee special education, RTI and ESL at grades 7-12 but that is only part of the position. The district currently has around 12-15% of our students in Grades 7-12 receiving special education/RTI services.
The district is interested in finding someone strong in the area of curriculum, instruction and the use of technology to support our school improvement efforts towards providing the highest quality instruction and programs possible to our students.
