Arcola, IL – The Arcola Community Unit School District No. 306 is aware that one of our administrators has been indicted on federal charges unrelated to their duties with the Arcola School District. We understand that this situation may raise concerns within our school community.
Consistent with District policy and standard practice, the employee has been placed on administrative leave pending further review. This action is not a determination of wrongdoing but allows the district to ensure continuity of operations while the matter is addressed.
At this time, we have no information indicating that this matter involves any issues whatsoever regarding the Arcola School District, its students, staff or community. No allegations in the indictment indicates that anything occurred during the employee’s tenure in the Arcola School District. Also, we have absolutely no indication that any action in question involved students in the prior district.
Because this is a personnel matter and an ongoing legal situation, the district is limited in what it can share. We will continue to monitor the situation, be as transparent as possible, and will take any additional actions as appropriate in accordance with District policy and applicable law.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and ask that everyone respect the integrity of the legal process.
