School Board Members play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of every student within their school district. As elected representatives of the community, they serve as advocates for students, families, educators and all community members. It is their task to balance all of those stakeholder groups and to work together to make sure our schools remain safe, equitable and focused on excellence in all areas. Their responsibilities include setting policies, overseeing budgets, making decisions that impact curriculum, staffing and long-term planning for the district.
