Mental health day

The Arcola Jr/Sr High School is planning for the second annual Mental Health is Health event that will take place on Friday, May 3rd. For this event, our students participate in stations focused on mental health education, wellness and self-care.

In the past, our stations have consisted of therapy dogs, music therapy, the effects of genetics, trauma, exercise and nutrition on mental health and more! Last year, we were able to cover the cost of the presenters, wellness bags and all materials necessary to host this large event through community and staff donations.

Community Donations:

Amazon Wish List

Follow the link to a wish list set up at Amazon, or contact Ms. Flier (sflier@arcolaschools.com) if you would like to donate in a different way.

Business Donations

This year, we are also leaning into the support of local businesses, since we all know and understand how important fostering positive mental health and resources are for our students. Monetary donations can be made to Arcola High School with Mental Health Movement in the memo line. If you feel that you have existing items to donate or would like to donate specific items for the event please contact me directly for a list of materials needed. I truly appreciate any consideration you give to this request.

Sincerely,
