The Hispanic Heritage Month event is just around the corner, and we are looking for students of all ages who would like to dress up as a famous Hispanic figure. Don’t worry—students do not need to speak. We will announce their name, who they are representing, and share a little information about that person. All they have to do is walk on stage, smile, and give a wave to the audience!

If you would like to purchase iPad insurance for the 2025–2026 school year, payment must be made by September 1st.
We can now easily add insurance to your account, allowing you to pay online or send payment directly to the school.
💻 To add iPad insurance, please email jhohlbauch@arcolaschools.com with the student name(s) you want it added to.
⚠️ If the insurance is not paid by Sept. 1st, your student will not have coverage for the 2025–2026 school year.

The Arcola School District will be holding in-person registration for all returning students (PreK–12) on the following dates:
📅 Tuesday, July 29 – 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📅 Wednesday, July 30 – 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Arcola Jr. High Gym
✅ A parent or guardian must attend to register their student(s) during one of these times.
📌 Important Info:
If you cannot attend one of the scheduled times, please call the school office at 217-268-4962 to schedule an alternate appointment.
New students should call the office to set up a registration time
NEW PreK students will be contacted by the office.
📂 Why In-Person?
We’re moving to in-person registration this year to improve the accuracy of student data.
🏠 Proof of Residency Required
Every household must bring:
A driver’s license or state ID
A utility bill (must show your name, address, and be dated within the last month)
📌 Students will not be allowed to start school without this documentation by August 13.
🩺 School Nurse On Site:
Bring any required medical forms with you.
🚌 Additional Stations Available:
Free & Reduced Lunch Applications
Bus Sign-Up with Gould Bus Service

🔔 Every household MUST bring ONE current proof of residency (dated May 2025 or later). Acceptable forms include a utility bill or official statement showing name & address.
📝 During registration, families can:

✔️ Sign up for bus service
✔️ Apply for Free & Reduced lunch
✔️ Purchase iPad insurance
✔️ Buy athletic passes
✔️ Deposit lunch money
✔️ Receive homeroom teacher assignments (elementary)
