The Arcola School District will be taking a snow day on Monday, Jan 26. This will NOT be an e-learning day.
Due to forecasted temperatures for tomorrow, the Arcola School District will be using an e-learning day. Students should follow the instructions provided by their teachers.

Next week, we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month—get your outfits ready for Spirit Week! Parents and students, don’t forget to join us on Monday, September 29th, at 5:30 PM in the junior high gym for our big Hispanic Heritage Night event.
La próxima semana celebraremos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana—¡prepárense sus atuendos para la Semana de Espíritu! Padres y estudiantes, no olviden acompañarnos el lunes 29 de septiembre a las 5:30 PM en el gimnasio de la secundaria para nuestro gran evento de la Noche de la Herencia Hispana.

If you would like to purchase iPad insurance for the 2025–2026 school year, payment must be made by September 1st.
We can now easily add insurance to your account, allowing you to pay online or send payment directly to the school.
💻 To add iPad insurance, please email jhohlbauch@arcolaschools.com with the student name(s) you want it added to.
⚠️ If the insurance is not paid by Sept. 1st, your student will not have coverage for the 2025–2026 school year.

📅 Tuesday, July 29 – 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📅 Wednesday, July 30 – 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Arcola Jr. High Gym
✅ A parent or guardian must attend to register their student(s) during one of these times.
📌 Important Info:
If you cannot attend one of the scheduled times, please call the school office at 217-268-4962 to schedule an alternate appointment.
New students should call the office to set up a registration time
NEW PreK students will be contacted by the office.
📂 Why In-Person?
We’re moving to in-person registration this year to improve the accuracy of student data.
🏠 Proof of Residency Required
Every household must bring:
A driver’s license or state ID
A utility bill (must show your name, address, and be dated within the last month)
📌 Students will not be allowed to start school without this documentation by August 13.
🩺 School Nurse On Site:
Bring any required medical forms with you.
🚌 Additional Stations Available:
Free & Reduced Lunch Applications
Bus Sign-Up with Gould Bus Service
