The Purple Rider volleyball presented Mills Breast Cancer Institute with a check for $1600 on Friday. This was the team’s biggest donation to date and was made possible through generous donations from local businesses, community members, players, families, and fans. Thanks for all the support and help exceeding our goal.
Greenville University will be at AHS on Tuesday, and SIU-Edwardsville will be here on Thursday to meet with interested juniors and seniors. Come to the guidance office for a pass to meet with either one of these colleges!

Did you know there is a TeacherEase app that can keep parents and students informed on grades and attendance. Recently TeacherEase updated their app to include push notifications. Please read the message below from TeacherEase.
We’ve recently been working on mobile apps. In our latest release, we upgraded the iOS TeacherEase parent/student app to receive notifications when events occur in the system (grade is entered, student is marked absent, announcement is sent, etc). Users stay updated without needing to login. To receive notifications, install the TeacherEase app and enable notifications. This release builds upon recent updates allowing the mobile app to stay logged into TeacherEase. After initial login, users can access the app with pin, fingerprint, and/or faceid authentication. Thanks to the help of local businesses, residents, and surrounding community the Arcola Purple Rider Volleyball team will be able to donate $1600.00 to Mill's Breast Cancer Institute in Urbana, IL. We live in a great community that loves to support our school. Here is a picture from last night of the Arcola Volleyball Girls with the Blue Ridge Knights. The Purple Riders beat the Knights in two sets, which made the night even better.
A huge “Thank You” to the Arcola Sports Boosters for their generous donation to Arcola High School Athletics. Pictured above is Angie Miller and Tiffany Roberts presenting a check to A.D Nick Lindsey. The donation will go towards a Free Lap Timing System that’ll benefit all sports.
Today is the Arcola Lady Riders Annual Pink Out Night. Come out and support your Lady Riders and help them raise money to find a cure for Breast Cancer. We will have over 35 items to raffle off. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 30 for $20. Ticket sales will stop at the start of the Varsity game and winners will be announced between the first and second set of the Varsity game. If you can't make it to the game, you can still support this great cause by making a monetary donation by texting MILLS to 71777. There will be a 2:00pm dismissal for Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 23, and Wednesday October 30. Teachers will be available for conferences from 2:15-7:15 each day. Parents are encouraged to contact the teachers through email or by calling the high school office at 268-4962 opt.2 to set up conferences.

Mark your calendars to see Jake on October 23rd during Parent Teacher Conferences to get your Cap and Gown and any other seniors items ordered.
