Arcola will team up with WCIA news to "Tackle Hunger". Bring in any of what they call the Super Six: Canned Meats, Canned Meals, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Boxed Meals, or Peanut Butter. This will be another part of the Cola Wars, as Tuscola will also be collecting food during the week. The Eastern Illinois Food Bank will pick up the food and weigh it, the school with the heaviest amount will be the winner. They will also be collecting money and food at the gate the night of the game. The food/monetary donations will help "tackle hunger" in our community.
Get your 2018 Arcola Volleyball fan shirt. Deadline for orders is August 29th. Turn orders into Coach Hohlbauch or either of the school offices. These shirts could be worn for Jr. High Volleyball also.

Reminder: Parent Information Night will be tomorrow, Aug. 16th at Arcola Elementary. The teachers will present information in 3 repeat sessions; you choose the time: 6:30-6:45, 6:50-7:05, or 7:10-7:25 PM. Bring children to the south playground for supervised play & popsicles.

Parent Information Night will be Thursday, August 16 from 6:30-7:30 PM. Staff will supervise students (and provide popsicles) on the south playground while parents meet with teachers.
2018-2019 School Registration Information: If you have not registered your child for school, you still have time. Online registration is still open. If you can not complete the registration process on your own we will have in-house registration on August 6th 7:00 - 9:00 AM and 3:00 - 7:00 PM. Please see link for more information.

Both versions of the State Free & Reduced Lunch Applications have been released and can be found below. If you wish to apply, simply print out the form and turn into the school for processing.

The state released the English version of the Free & Reduced applications. The application can be found in the link below. Once the application is filled out you can drop it by the High School office, which is generally open from 8:30 - 2:30 Monday - Thursday, or mail it to the school to the attention of Diane Good.

Don't forget that school registration is open online. Those that register online will be emailed their homeroom teacher withing 5-7 days. Free/Reduced applications will have to be filled out on paper this year, and the state requires that to be done after July 1st. Once we have the new application we will post it online and have paper copies available.

The Golden Apple program is from 8:15-11:00 Monday-Thursday, no attendance on Friday’s.
AES teachers do not take summer breaks! They have been busy learning about and organizing their new reading curriculum, attending workshops, going to meetings, and planning for next year...all this, and it’s only June 5th!
