Revised broadcast information for Saturday's football game. Purple Rider fans, please tune into WWGO 92.1 on Saturday with the pregame starting fifteen minutes prior to kick off. The game can also be heard via myradiolink.com and on the free myradiolink app (for those who may want to listen in their car while at the game). Sorry for any confusion, but this is local radio station that will be broadcasting the game for the Purple Riders.

The Purple Rider Volleyball team will be holding their annual Pink Out game tonight, in the Jr. High Gym. Come out and support your Lady Riders and check out the items we have to raffle off. All money raised will be donated to Mills Breast Cancer Institute in Champaign, IL. We would appreciate your support.

Arcola School District is seeking candidates for the position of Evening Custodian Supervisor. This person will work from 2:30 – 11:00 pm Monday through Friday. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications but salary is expected to be around $15 an hour. Position also offers health insurance benefits; paid vacation, holidays and sick time; and IMRF Retirement program, which includes a company match. The 2018 High School girls volleyball team will be holding their annual Pink Out Night on October 9th, during our game with Decatur LSA. Last year with the help of our generous community we were able to collect $1000 that was donated to Mill’s Breast Cancer Center in Champaign. This year we have set a goal to try and collect at least $1,000 to donate to Mill’s; we need your help! We are asking that you consider donating to our worthy cause. We would gladly accept monetary donations or something we can raffle off. If you would be interested in helping us out please contact Jill Hohlbauch by email or phone. Arcola will team up with WCIA news to "Tackle Hunger". Bring in any of what they call the Super Six: Canned Meats, Canned Meals, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruit, Boxed Meals, or Peanut Butter. This will be another part of the Cola Wars, as Tuscola will also be collecting food during the week. The Eastern Illinois Food Bank will pick up the food and weigh it, the school with the heaviest amount will be the winner. They will also be collecting money and food at the gate the night of the game. The food/monetary donations will help "tackle hunger" in our community.
Get your 2018 Arcola Volleyball fan shirt. Deadline for orders is August 29th. Turn orders into Coach Hohlbauch or either of the school offices. These shirts could be worn for Jr. High Volleyball also.
