The Law Enforcement Torch Run came through Arcola. Mariela Tamez met the Coles County Law Enforcement team at the Coles/Douglas County Line, where she did the exchange! It was then brought to Unity Motors where the Arcola Special Olympics team took it to Casey's. I want to thank the Arcola PD and Fire departments for participating in the great event. We apologize for those who didn't get to see it, they came in an hour ahead of time. Athletes participating are Mariela Tamez, new comers Steven and Tyler Lamkin. We travel to state this weekend fore state games.
