COLA WARS Food Drive- Support the Purple Riders in our efforts to Tackle Hunger. We will be collecting monetary donations and nonperishable items the week of Homecoming (Sept.2nd-6th) at the school and the night of the game. All food and funds go to Eastern Illinois Foodbank to support the Arcola Food Pantry.
Go to eiufoodbank.org, make a donation, and designate it for Arcola. WCIA/News 3 will announce the winner of the Tackle Hunger match up.

Intro to Ag students had a great time and perfect weather at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur on Wednesday!
Don't forget to purchase iPad insurance for your student if they are in 7th - 12th grade. The cost is $15 and the deadline for payment is this Friday.
We just wanted to let all parents know that there was an accident outside the school on Rt 133 and emergency workers are using the school parking lot and practice field to help with the accident. The accident did not involve any of our students, they are simply using our facilities.

Arcola welcomes Elizabeth Robison as new 7th Grade English Teacher. Elizabeth is a veteran teacher that comes to Arcola from the Windsor School District. Elizabeth will primarily be teaching junior high English but she is also certified to teach high school English and will occasionally be teaching a high school class as well. Elizabeth will be teaching right down the hallway from her sister-in-law Carrie Schutzbach! Welcome to Arcola, Elizabeth.

Arcola welcomes Emily Henderson as the new 5-12 Band and HS Choir teacher. Emily is a recent graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. She grew up in Herscher, Illinois where she was very active in both band and chorus. Emily indicated that she loves the small town feel of Arcola and could immediately see the community support for the fine arts programs here in Arcola. We welcome Emily to the land of the Purple Riders!
Arcola Our Town will happen this Friday, August from 4-8 pm at the Arcola Pavilion. There will be lots of fun for all ages, especially for kids!
Seniors-- If you signed up for online ENG-101 through Parkland but haven't yet turned your dual credit form into the office, please do so ASAP.
