Jr. High Science classes complete an Earth Day activity by meeting with Elementary classes and talking and teaching them about Earth Day.
Dear Arcola School Community, there was a rumor going around tonight about a potential school shooting tomorrow at school. The district has been working with the Arcola Police Department investigating the situation. There is no creditable information that has led to any concern about student safety tomorrow. Again, there is NO Creditable Threat. But as a precaution we will have a police presence at school tomorrow.

Sign ups for the 2018-2019 color guard seasons have been posted outside the high school office. Any students going into grades 9-12 who are interested are welcome to sign up. Mandatory Student information meeting will be held Friday, April 20th @ 3:15 in the high school library.

- Baseball vs. Okaw Valley cancelled for tonight and moved to tomorrow, Tuesday April 17th @ Okaw Valley.
- Softball for tonight is cancelled. They will play a double header against Okaw Valley in Arcola on May 2nd.
- Softball game this Friday vs ALAH will be a Double Header.
AHS English I and III students celebrated National Poetry Month in the library this week. Blackout Poetry, Visual Poetry, Word Mover, and other poetry stations were set up in the library by Mrs. Klopfleisch. The students created some amazing work!

All students 9th - 11th grade will be testing on April 10th. Freshmen will be taking the PSAT 9 from 8am - noon and then going to there 7th - 9th hour classes. Sophomores will be taking the PSAT 10 from 8am - noon. They will then have CPR training 7th - 8th hour and return to class 9th hour. Juniors will be taking the SAT from 7:45am - 1:30pm. The juniors will be dismissed after testing is complete. It is very important that all students are present this day. Please encourage them to get a good nights sleep and to eat breakfast. They will need to have a calculator and a #2 pencil. Seniors will be participating in a Senior Development Day. They will not be at school that day.
