Seniors! Lifetouch will be here to take your portraits for the graduating class composite board that hangs in the hallway.

Midterm graduates: This will be the only chance for you to get your portrait taken for the composite board.

Principal Update: As Mrs. Sigrist is getting ready to start her 5th round of chemo, we thought it would be appropriate to give you a quick update. Yes, she is still working. She always looks forward to greeting the students in the mornings. So far, Mrs. Sigrist is handling the chemo pretty well except for some nauseousness. Unfortunately, she did experience a minor setback with her most recent chemo because her platelet count was low. She knew that pushing her appointment back would cause her to feel fatigue, and nauseous during Thanksgiving and that was upsetting. Even then, she continued to show up to work and come in with a positive attitude. She has another pet scan coming up that will show how effective chemo has been so far. We will keep you informed on her progress. Thank you to everyone who continues to pray and show their support. We would like to ask everyone who contributed towards the Sigrist Strong movement to show their support by wearing their shirt/mask this Friday, December 4th. Snap a picture and share it with us on our Facebook page @ Arcola Jr. Sr. High School. You can also use #sigriststrong.

Congratulations to Delaney Melton for signing her letter of intent to Parkland College.

Despite the challenges we’ve all had this year, let’s take a moment to think about the good. What is something you are grateful for?
Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁

Seniors and Parents: Make sure you have completed the FAFSA for the 2021/2022 school year. It is a graduation requirement and many colleges will not offer merit aid without a FAFSA on file.
If you have any questions or need assistance, contact the guidance office.

Parents: It is already that time of year! This week Mrs. Phillips will be going into classrooms providing information on course registration for the 2021-2022 school year. Please talk to your children about their plans. The week after Thanksgiving break, the Guidance crew will be holding individual meetings to help each student successfully register for their classes.
Please note: Parents of current 8th graders, your students will register at a later date.
If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Phillips.
